Samsung wants to complete One UI 5 upgrades before the end of the year

Samsung has been very active when it comes to releasing sharp versions of its own version of Android 13 called One UI 5 and has released it to a variety of flagship and mid-range models. Several of these have also received the upgrade significantly earlier than the original launch schedule.

In an interview that the publication SamMobile has done with Sally Hyesoon Jeong, vice president of Android Framework R&D at Samsung Electronics, she says that the company has bigger plans than that. The intention is to release the sharp versions of One UI 5 globally already before the turn of the year to all devices that are scheduled to receive the upgrade. In other words, after the turn of the year, the intention is that no more sharp versions of the operating system will be released, since all models have already received the upgrade.

However, they did not want to go into when the different models might get their respective upgrades, but that they are already releasing upgrades for different models at very close intervals.

Whether the intention to carry out all the upgrades before the turn of the year succeeds remains to be seen. Samsung intends to try, even though this means that, for example, the Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro will have the upgrade moved from February to November or December.
