Samsung presented new televisions for 2023. What awaits us?

One of the largest manufacturers of televisions and television systems in the world, Samsung, now presented its new portfolio for the year 2023. Even though the segment with televisions is less and less popular here in Slovakia, it is still attractive for some companies. We were there to look at official Slovak performance the best that Samsung currently offers.

According to the company’s information, it has changed significantly recently the way to buy televisions. In 2020, even as a result of the pandemic, sales via the Internet grew to 88% of the total number of televisions sold. In 2023, however, sales stabilized slightly, and today 55% of sales implements for physical presence in the store.

Samsung employees are also working with the information that in 2023 up to 900,000 devices (CZ and SK) users used smart applications. Compared to 2020, this is an increase of up to 600 000, this is also why we can say that the popularity of these functions is still growing. Even further popularization of smart functions by customers is expected in the near future.

What news does Samsung bring?

Neo QLED 8K flagships

Samsung introduced a new 8K QLED televisions that come in versions QN900, QN800 a QN700. The first two versions come in 85″, 75″ and 65″ sizes, while the last one got 75″, 65″ and 55″ versions. We can already see from the name that they come with support for 8K content, which is currently the absolute best.

Among all Samsung TVs, they are supposed to offer the best picture, the best surround sound and an infinity screen. In addition, during production, they also focused on improving the contrast and the display of the characters’ movements on the screen, and the sound that draws you more into the action is also new.

The richness of the details will change the most from the image, highlighting textures whether noise reduction. They also use a neural analyzer that can calculate individual pixels to improve the experience. For all this, it uses artificial intelligence, which is already very popular today.

Lower class Neo QLED

In addition to the flagship models mentioned above, Samsung also introduced other Neo QLED televisions. These come with job titles QN95, QN90 a QN85. As for their diagonals, they got more options. The QN95 comes in 85″, 65″, 65″ and 55″ versions. QN90 in 98″, 85″, 75″, 65″, 55″, 50″ and 43″ versions. With the QN85, you can choose between 85″, 75″, 65″ and 55″ options.

Unlike the higher versions, these TVs do not support 8K content, but “only” 4K. However, this is an ideal option with a huge amount of content, as movies or other content in 8K are really still few and far between. The difference is also the sound side of the devices. The Adaptive Sound Pro sound calibration will be replaced by the lower version Adaptive Sound +, but don’t worry, it’s still a very high-quality solution.

All the above mentioned TVs come with technology Quantum Mini LED, which is much more accurate than classic LEDs. They are compared to their LED predecessor 40x smaller, which means the possibility of increasing their density and the total number of points. Thanks to this technology, these TVs also achieve better results in the field of contrast. Regular TV does not offer 14-bit HDR contrast, but only 10 bit. This allowed Samsung to add up to 16x more brightness levels.

We also got to know the new OLED

S95C a S90C are Samsung’s innovations in the category YOU ARE TV. A new experience is brought by the OLED screen and the picture, which was adjusted by Samsung itself. Sound will be provided by OTS with Dolby Atmos, or a special experience with Q-Symphony. In terms of appearance, the new S95C received the Infinity One Design and, together with it, the One Connect Box. Both variants come in 77″, 65″ and 55″ versions.

They also support the image up to v 4K quality at a frequency of 120 Hzand also have sound calibration Adaptive Sound Pro. For customers, this is a more affordable model that has the potential to reach a wide audience.

TV that deviates from reality

In addition to regular TVs, Samsung is also trying to reach a wider spectrum of users, namely less traditional devices. Lifestyle products that already belong to Samsung’s portfolio are improved every year. They belong to this family Frame, Serif, Sero, Terrace, Premier a Freestyle.

Samsung Frame is a TV designed to resemble a work of art even when not in use, blending seamlessly into your interior. It offers a customizable art mode and different display options.

Samsung Serif is a unique TV with a distinctive design inspired by typography. It stands alone as a piece of furniture and offers a stylish and artistic addition to any living space.

Samsung Sero is a high-end TV that can rotate between orientations to width and by height, allowing you to enjoy content in a way that best suits your preferences, be it traditional TV shows or vertical videos from your smartphone.

Samsung Terrace is a high performance outdoor TV designed to withstand a variety of weather conditions including rain, dust and extreme temperatures. It has a bright display, anti-glare technology and rugged durability, making it ideal for outdoor spaces.

Samsung Premiere is a projector with an extremely short projection distance. It offers cinematic viewing experiences with vivid colour, high definition and wide range, bringing the cinema to your home.

Samsung Freestyle is a smaller portable projector, which is mainly used for simple viewing of content. Even if you don’t have a TV or other output medium nearby. It is mainly intended for the younger generation and less demanding users.
