Samsung has introduced a new line of Galaxy S21 phones

January 14, 2021

Updates: 14.01.2021 21:48

Seoul – Samsung Electronics has introduced three versions of the new flagship smartphone Galaxy S21. New equipment is the S Pen stylus for working on the screen. Devices aimed at people working from home and gamers were introduced by Samsung more than a month earlier than usual. According to some analysts, the reason may be that Samsung wants to make the most of the problems of China’s Huawei, Reuters reported.

The new range boasts a larger screen, a better camera and longer-lasting batteries. It is also cheaper than last year’s series, which was introduced just before the global economy was hit by a pandemic.

Samsung has introduced three versions of the device with a screen diagonal from 6.2 inches (15.7 cm) to 6.8 inches (17.3 cm), which is optimal for watching videos and games. They are designed for 5G networks. Device prices range from $ 799.99 ($ 17,200) to $ 1199.99 ($ 25,800). They will be on sale from January 29.

The video stream marked with the PROTEXT VIDEO brand is not part of the ČTK news service, it is a commercial presentation of the client.

The most expensive model, the Galaxy S21 Ultra, is equipped with a stylus, ie a touch pen, which can be used to write, draw or remotely control a mobile phone. Until now, Samsung’s Note series devices had a stylus. According to analysts, this could indicate that Samsung plans to combine the two series of smartphones. It could free up resources to turn its advanced folding phones into products for the mass market.

Samsung is trying to strengthen its market share after the Chinese competitor Huawei Technologies was hit by US sanctions, which limited its supplies and damaged sales, analysts warn. Samsung faces strong competition from Chinese retailers in the category of advanced devices that can be used when working from home during a pandemic and also for playing video games.

Samsung has also shown new headphones and a SmartTag for finding things. Galaxy Buds Pro wireless headphones are more inconspicuous than previous models, they are supposed to be more resistant to moisture and have better sound quality. SmartTag connects to various things, such as keys, a bag or a collar for pets, and allows you to track these things through a mobile application.
