The Samsung Galaxy M22 has been officially presented, although the manufacturer has quietly done so. The new smartphone can be found on the company’s German website, which tells us everything about its appearance and specifications.

Read on after the ad.

Samsung Galaxy M22 official: smaller battery

The Samsung Galaxy M21 has been succeeded by the new Samsung Galaxy M22, which can now be found on Samsung’s German website. A price can not yet be found there, but all specifications are known. What is immediately noticeable is the battery that is still large and has a capacity of 5000 mAh. However, the Galaxy M21 had a larger onboard battery of 6000 mAh.

The device comes on the market in black, white and blue and charging is via the USB-C port. That goes with a maximum of 25 Watts. A headphone jack and memory card slot are also on board. The physical fingerprint scanner can be found in the power button on the right side of the device.

Samsung Galaxy A22 specifications

The Galaxy A22 is equipped with a 6.4-inch AMOLED screen with a ratio of 20 by 9. What is negative is that the resolution is a step less than the predecessor. That screen still had a resolution of 2340 by 1080 pixels, with the A22 it is an HD screen with 1600 by 720 pixels. It does refresh it 90 times per second, for a smooth user experience.

The processor is the Helio G80 from MediaTek, there is 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. On the back you will find four cameras, including the primary 48-megapixel variant. You use the other sensors to take snapshots at a wider angle, close-ups and for measuring depth for portrait photography.

Price and release Samsung Galaxy A22

Samsung supplies the new smartphone with Android 11 and its own One UI shell. A price is therefore still unknown and also whether the device will be officially released here. The Galaxy M21 only appeared here via gray import. We assume that the M22 will also be for sale here soon. If so, of course you read that on Android Planet!
