Sachsenring (Germany) – Czech motorcyclist Filip Salač did not finish today’s German Grand Prix after the first start from pole position. As in the last Moto3 race in Barcelona, he was stopped by technical problems.
The Spanish favorite Pedro Acosta finished for the victory and consolidated his lead in the standings of the World Cup. He scored his fourth victory in the eighth race and has a lead of 55 points over his second compatriot Sergio García.
Nineteen-year-old Salač won the first pole position in his career in Saturday’s qualification, but quickly lost the lead in the race. He gradually fell through the rankings and resigned in the 15th round due to technical difficulties. With a gain of 35 points, he ranks 13th in the championship.
