Russian doctors forged Navalny’s medical report, according to the opposition’s team

And report entitled “The whole truth about Naval poisoning”, his colleagues describe how they managed to get the original medical records at the hospital in Omsk, which, according to them, differ from those that the hospital later handed over to them. Last August, Navalny collapsed on a domestic flight from Tomsk, Siberia to Moscow, and the plane made an emergency landing in Omsk, where paramedics treated him before he was taken unconscious to the German Charité clinic under pressure from loved ones.

The German military laboratory concluded that Navalny was poisoned by a nerve agent from a group of novices. This has also been confirmed by other European specialist workplaces and the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons. Moscow denies Navalny’s poisoning. Doctors in Omsk stated that they did not find any traces of toxic substances in it, and that it was probably a metabolic disorder.

The anti-corruption fund has now published in its investigation report, among other things, a photocopy of a medical record, which it claims was kept secret from them by medics in Omsk. “It is a biochemical analysis of Navalna blood (…) It shows a critical decrease in cholinesterase levels. This, together with other symptoms described in the medical report, confirms the diagnosis of poisoning by cholinesterase inhibitors in 100 percent of cases,” writes Navalny’s team. An inhibitor is a substance that slows down or completely blocks a certain reaction, in this case in the nervous system of the human body. Cholinesterases are enzymes key to the transmission of nerve impulses in the body.

“Right now, there are plenty of materials in Omsk: analyzes, records, test results – to make an unambiguous diagnosis: organophosphate poisoning (…) Nothing more, no more evidence is needed to start criminal proceedings,” adds Navalný’s team. Organophosphates are the basis of nerve paralytic chemical weapons. The Russian authorities have previously refused to investigate Navalny’s poisoning, saying there is no reason for it.

The anti-corruption fund further claims that it managed to identify the “most important member” of the group of agents of the Russian secret service FSB, which allegedly poisoned Navalny. According to his team, the main culprit is a high-ranking member of the FSB Valery Nikolayevich Sucharev. According to Navalny’s collaborators, he watched the opposition at least fifteen times during his travels across Russia, and many times before and after his poisoning, he telephoned other previously identified agents who allegedly participated in Navalný’s poisoning. FBK also believes that at least two FSB departments have been involved in Navalny’s poisoning.

Navalnyy is serving a 2.5-year prison sentence for violating an earlier sentence. Police detained him in January this year after his return from Germany, where he was recovering from poisoning. In February, a Russian court commuted the previously imposed suspended sentence for embezzlement to unconditional sentence and sent him to the IK-2 prison camp in the Vladimir region. Navalny himself describes his imprisonment as politically motivated.

On Wednesday, a Moscow court described the funds and staffs associated with the imprisoned opposition as extremist organizations. Verdict means a ban on their activities. According to Reuters, the verdict also shows that none of the members of the Navalny organization will be allowed to run in the September parliamentary elections.
