A Ukrainian governor claims that the Russians are mobilizing all their reserves around Severodonetsk in other areas, Sky News reports.
Russia is sending a large number of reserve troops to Severodonetsk from other battlefields to try to gain full control of the eastern city, the governor of Ukraine’s Luhansk region said.
“Today, tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, they will throw away all the reserves they have … because there are already so many there that they have reached the critical mass,” Luhansk Governor Serhiy Gaidai told national television.
He said Russian forces were already in control of most of Severodonetsk.
The Russians used artillery to blow up three bridges connecting Ukrainian-controlled territory in Severodonetsk.
The city is now completely isolated.
