RosNOU professor held a master class in neuropsychological gymnastics

– A professional teacher or psychologist has two goals in working with schoolchildren and preschoolers: to preserve the health of the child and develop his personality, Professor noted.

She explained that upon entering the first grade, a student begins to experience a serious stressful impact, and the task of teachers and psychologists is to correctly assess his resources at the stage of choosing an educational institution.

– Parents often insist on admitting their child to the gymnasium, without thinking about the correspondence of his biological age to the passport one, — said the teacher. – And what happens then? With an increase in the load, the student gets more tired, and parents already forget about their original goals, begin to sound the alarm and think only about how to keep the child healthy.

The lecturer recalled that if a student is successfully included in the educational process, adaptation takes 1.5 months. She focused on health protection as a psychological and pedagogical task.

Neuropsychological gymnastics helps to keep children healthy and help them overcome learning difficulties. It activates the interaction of the left and right hemispheres of the brain responsible for logical and imaginative thinking, contributes to the harmonious development of the child and allows him to be successful in school.

During the class, the professor introduced future psychologists to neuropsychological technologies and kinesiology techniques aimed at active interaction of both hemispheres of the brain.

The lecturer gave the audience something like a workout, but not quite the usual one. Alternating the movements of simultaneously touching the nose and ear with different fingers, and even changing hands at the same time or, for example, making rhythmic multidirectional hand movements, turned out to be a difficult task for many.

The participants of the master class were convinced by experience that the exercises required certain efforts, they saw in action the parallel work of the visual, auditory, motor and motor channels. – Neuropsychological exercises are a great reserve for restoring the working capacity of not only children, but also adults, the professor noted.

The master class was held as part of the implementation by the Russian New University of the scientific project “Pedagogical conditions for improving the professional competence of teachers in the field of psychological and pedagogical support for children with disabilities” with the support of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research (grant No. 20-013-00654).
