In the Czech Republic, the variant with the AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme chip, i.e. the more powerful of the two, will be available first. The sale will start on June 13 with a price of 19,490 crowns. A cheaper ROG Ally with a Ryzen Z1 processor will be available in the second half of the year for an unspecified price.
The Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor offers 8 Zen 4 cores and a 12-unit graphics chip with RDNA 3 architecture. Gross performance reaches 8.6 teraflops. RAM with a capacity of 16 GB LPDDR5 is complemented by a 512 GB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD. A Steam Deck with the same storage capacity costs around 16,000 crowns. But ROG Ally will offer a better display and higher performance.
ROG Ally powers a full-fledged Windows 11, there is a fingerprint reader and you get 3 months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for free with your purchase. A 40 Wh battery takes care of endurance and the power source has a power of 65 W. The entire device weighs 608 grams.
