REVIEWS: AIO MSI Modern AM241P 11M – MSI Modern 241P AM11 – introduction

In the current days of “hunger” for any hardware, manufacturers are trying to offer customers various alternatives in the form of ready-made solutions, so-called All in One computers.

We will focus on one of them today. This is the highest model in the MSI Modern 241P AM11 series, equipped with an Intel Tiger Lake i7 1165G7 processor (4 cores with HT), with a basic clock of 2.8GHz and a maximum turbo of up to 4.7GHz. The processor carries integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics and 16GB of RAM with a frequency of 3200MHz.

There are several models with different cpu, ram and disks. While researching the individual models, I came across one with a touch screen, however, it is probably not available in our country, because I did not find it anywhere. Specifically, it is a model called TP. The monitor itself can be obtained separately.

See the table below for more information on the hardware configuration of each model. The tested model is highlighted.

As an All In One device, it comes with a basic keyboard and mouse set, as well as a 23.8 “LCD monitor and full HD camera. The PC itself is” glued “to the back of the monitor and you’ll see later that the PC itself takes up almost no space.

MSI Modern arrived in a large box with thorough reinforcements that prevent damage during transport. The whole box weighs a respectable eight and a half kilos, while the compound AIO alone weighs just over six kilos.

The puzzle does not have too many parts, so it is assembled almost immediately. First you fold your foot with the stand, mount it on the monitor, connect the adapter and camera, insert the receiver for peripherals into the USB port and you’re done. Of course, you must not forget the batteries, there are two micropencils in both the keyboard and the mouse. Then just turn on the PC and you can work.

After switching on, you will be greeted by the already set Windows 10 Pro system (lower models have a home edition). But let’s go back to the BIOS. This in itself is very austere with a minimum of settings, no matter what I tried, the usual keyboard shortcuts to open other options did not work. Well, maybe there is one, but I didn’t come to it.

As you can see, we don’t make much of a show in the BIOS, but the basis here is. Boot settings, memory allocation for GPU, etc.

The supplied software is also quite austere, however, I very much welcome something like this, because we all know what fractures we will see with new motherboards and the like.

In addition to the operating software of the camera and monitor, the software also includes MSI fast charger, Northon security and a whole range of drivers for integrated Intel devices. Of course, there must be the usual “offers” from Microsoft, such as Office 365.

But now let’s take a look at what it all looks like and the hardware.
