Perhaps the most difficult thing is to say who this personal cinema built into glasses is for. There is no specific target group to be found here, but this is definitely a great gift for those who already have everything. You can’t buy such glasses for yourself, but it’s quite possible to give a person who wants an expensive and at the same time unusual thing.

A personal cinema built into glasses is an unusual concept that implies several mutually exclusive points. On the one hand, you must have a lot of money for such a device, on the other hand, you do not have a large TV or you often travel and want to watch videos not on the device, but on glasses that create a big picture. At the same time, you will still have to get noise-canceling headphones on the plane, since the headphones built into the temples will mix the sound with the hum of the turbines. But on the other hand, you will have a very large picture before your eyes, including the ability to form a three-dimensional picture (this requires an application from TCL).

Last year, the NXTWEAR G model appeared on the market, it is very similar to the headphones in question, but differs in more weight, a slightly different design and design.

Design, dimensions, how to include glasses

Ordinary glasses hidden in a case in which they can be carried.

Since the glasses are connected to the device with a cable, you need smartphones or laptops that have a USB Type C connector that supports DisplayPort 1.3 and higher. All iPhones immediately disappear, but not all Android smartphones have such support (the 12th Xiaomi refused to work).

A pleasant moment is that you don’t need to charge the glasses, just plug them into the connector and they start working. There are no settings for the features of vision, there is a frame for lenses in the kit, but with my minus five it is not possible to insert lenses there, the frame simply will not stand it. Yes, and I don’t want to bother with it, the easiest way is to pull the glasses on the glasses, slightly shifting the TCL on the bridge of the nose. It looks, of course, strange, but it works!

There is a hook for the wire on the temple of the glasses so that it does not hang out.

The overlay in the style of ordinary sunglasses is translucent, you partially see the world around you, it is attached to the body of the glasses. But you can safely remove it, then you will have a futuristic look with mirrored hemispheres.

Each earpiece has a built-in speaker, they are loud and give a very clear sound. In a quiet room, listening to the soundtrack of the video is a pleasure. But at the same time, others will hear what you are listening to. Hence the conclusion: you need to use headphones if you do not want someone to hear you.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to show you the quality of the picture that the glasses give out, you will have to take my word for it. The picture is gorgeous, smooth, no points, twitching of the screen during fast scenes in films. The gap between the glasses and the face is quite large (and this is without my second glasses!).

The declared screen size that you see, of course, is not so large, but noticeable – that is, the picture is still larger than what you see on your phone. Several times, but not by orders of magnitude. Compared to my Fold, I also view the main screen from a distance of several tens of centimeters, so there is parity here. Don’t expect glasses to replace a huge screen at home. But they quite allow you to watch a movie at your leisure, when for some reason you do not want to turn on the TV.

With the cost of glasses at 54,990 rubles, this thing is far from being for everyone, rather a kind of curiosity that will gradually develop, acquire new features. But not an everyday product that is needed in everyday life and you will quickly find a use for it. On the other hand, there is simply nothing like it on the market, and this already provides attention. The simplicity of how the glasses work is captivating, but the same wire looks like some kind of anachronism. The combination of pros and cons, multiplied by the cost, will make any person think hard about why he needs such glasses. Or not?
