Director of the Emergency Medical Service (NMPD) Liene Tsipule advised the residents of Latvia to celebrate Ligo “in their bubbles”, together with familiar people within one or two households.

Although the incidence of Covid-19 in the country is decreasing, fewer and fewer infected people are admitted to hospitals, but about 10-15 people with a severe course of the disease are in hospitals every day.

«I would like to urge for the holiday to avoid places with a large gathering of strangers and celebrate Ligo in their “bubbles” together with family members, friends, about whom we know that they have been ill or vaccinated“, – said the head of the NMPD.

From a professional point of view, doctors are very worried about the long holidays in Ligo this year.

The head of the service hopes that people on the holiday will not get carried away with alcohol, but at the same time they will be able to have a good rest.
