Residents of Petrozavodsk complain about the cutting down of trees on the banks of Lososinka near the Yamka park. She called the police to the scene.

As it turned out, the workers received permission to cut from the city administration. There are violations in the documents that Olga Tuzhikova showed to the MC. So the organizers of the work did not pay compensation for cutting down trees and cut down healthy trees under the guise of old plants. The workers also cut down trees in the water without obtaining permission from the Ministry of Natural Resources.

Tuzhikova noted that the workers have not yet taken a soil sample, although it may contain heavy metals. When the trees that hold the shore are cut down, soil slippage and contamination of Lososinka with substances left in the ground from the time of the OTA can occur.

“Now the district police officer is working with the problem, an administrative case may be initiated on the fact of cutting down,” the deputy told the MK correspondent.

Note that the administration announced planting 90 new trees in place of those cut down.
