The 23rd edition of the Cursa de Martorell will be held on November 20 and will repeat the five kilometer format. After its resumption last autumn, the management of the test, in charge of the Martoell Atlètic Club, has decided to repeat it at the end of November. The race is endorsed and authorized by the Catalan Athletics Federation (FCA) and the registrations they can now be processed on the website www.championchip.cat.

Subscribers of the Martorell Municipal Board of People Services (PMSAPM) will be able to collect discount vouchers from the offices of the Comprehensive Sports and Health Center (CIES) and the La Vila Sports Complex. The registration fee is 8 euros if you have a chip and 10 euros if you have to rent one.

The exit will be at Carrer Josep Vilar, it will continue along Carrer de Sant Sebastià, the avenues Can Cases and Compte de Llobregat and it will go up Plaça Joan Serrats. Further on, the runners will pass through Torrent de Llops Pass, Frederic Duran Square and turn left along Compositor Joan Cererols and Compositor Vives streets. Arriving at Carrer Francesc Pujols, they will continue through Doctor Massana and Plaça del Vi, Doctor Lluís Gayà and Pintor Sert.

Once they arrive at Plaça Rosa dels Vents, they will make a 180-degree turn through Fèlix Duran and Canyameres and arrive at Tenor Palet and Lluís Requesens. At the height of Passeig de Catalunya with Capità Batllevell, they will go up towards the Camí Fondo neighborhood along Carrer Corbera de Llobregat and Joan Maragall and continue to Carrer Josep Tarradellas, Avinguda Francesc Riera, Plaça Frederic Duran, Carrer Pep Ventura and will turn towards Carrer Josep Vilar at the finish line.

Three children’s races

The route for adults includes three promotion races of 1,400, 1,050 and 650 meters for the youngest runners in the U14 and U16, U10 and U12 and U6 and U8 categories, respectively. The departures of these tests will be from 10.50am, and the maximum time allowed for the five kilometer race is 45 minutes. The price for the registration of these tests is 2 euros, although it will be free if it is processed at the same time as one of the five kilometer tests.

The records for the Martorell race are held by Carlos Herrera (15’59”) and Esther Guerrero (19’27”), both marks registered in the edition that took place in 2019. Bib numbers will be collected on Saturday 19 of November, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and the same Sunday, November 20, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
