Reconstructed bridge in Mladenovac –

The bridge in Mladenovac was reconstructed and today (November 15, 2021) it was released into regular traffic.. The opening event was attended by the Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Tomislav Momirović, and the Deputy Mayor of the City of Belgrade, Goran Vesić.

– This is proof that there are no big or small projects, this one the 328-meter-long bridge, built between the two world wars, has practically never been thoroughly reconstructed since. When we started the works on the rehabilitation of this bridge and removed the road, we saw how much the bridge failed, how much the steel structure failed and how much it is leaking – said Momirović. He mentioned that from the start, the asphalt coating was not considered, but only the complete reconstruction.

The president of the municipality of Mladenovac, Vladan Glisic, mentioned that the completion of works on the overpass solved a significant problem for the citizens of Mladenovac and that a number of works are underway, from the construction of water supply and sewerage network to asphalting the streets. He announced that Mladenovac will soon enter an investment of 40 million euros within the project “Clean Serbia”, which will give the municipality with the villages of Jagnjilovo, Velika Krsna and Velika Ivanca 60 kilometers of sewerage network with water treatment plants.

The bridge over the railway in Mladenovac consists of two access concrete structures 104 meters long and 182 meters, and the main steel structure over the railway 42 meters long. Before the Contractor was introduced to the work, the building was in a very bad condition, in addition to the visible damage to the pavement, a large water leak was noticed on almost the entire surface of the bridge, as well as some parts of the concrete falling off. As part of urgent works, the reconstruction of the access and main bridge structures over the railway was performed on the building. New pedestrian paths, fences, curbs, pavements and waterproofing of the pavement slab were made on the access structures.
