The Secretary of State for Cinema, Audiovisual and Media announced that the government assigned the frequency 91.5 MHz to RDP Africa, making the station available in the Porto area.
The frequency was free “for a long time”, said Nuno Artur Silva, who was speaking at the parliamentary committee on Culture and Communication, in the scope of the hearing on the revision of the public radio and television service concession contract. “It seemed to us an excellent opportunity to bring the RDP Africa channel to the North using this frequency, I think it is good news”, he reinforced, quoted by Lusa.
Until now the signal from RDP Africa reached Lisbon, Coimbra and Faro, in addition to the online broadcast, it has several frequencies in Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique and S. Tomé and Príncipe.
