Razer Huntsman V2 | Recensione

About three years after the release of the Huntsman, the first mechanical keyboard to be equipped with optical switches, Razer renews its offer by launching a renewed and enhanced version on the market, now equipped with HyperPolling 8K technology, PBT Doubleshot keycaps and improved acoustics. thanks to a layer of sound-absorbing foam positioned between the chassis and the switches, able to drastically reduce the noise of use.

The Huntsman V2 also welcomes Razer’s new second generation Optical Switches, both in the Clicky Purple version and in the Linear Red variant, capable of guaranteeing a latency of only 0.2ms compared to the 2-2.4ms of conventional mechanical switches.

We remind you that the optical switches use an infrared light beam to activate the signal, completely eliminating the debounce delay and ensuring that the contact signal corresponds to a real pressure of the key.

Without debounce delay, Razer’s new switches can take advantage of HyperPolling technology, breaking the 1000Hz threshold of standard keyboards and hitting 8000Hz.

From a construction and design point of view, the Huntsman V2 has remained almost unchanged compared to the original model, except for some slight aesthetic changes and the addition of the aforementioned sound-absorbing layer.

The keyboard is made of matte aluminum and exquisite plastic and integrates the usual palm rest, this time partially revised to offer maximum comfort during gaming sessions.

Fully programmable via Razer Synapse 3, the keyboard features seven preset Razer Chroma lighting effects for added customization.

It is also possible to use the on-board hybrid memory to save settings, macros and color schemes, so as to find them anywhere and at any time, even without access to cloud storage.
