Another student (14) of the same school has been raped by a 17-year-old schoolgirl in Kartkandi village of Nimaichara union in Chatmohar upazila of Pabna. When the girl’s father filed a case with the Chatmohar police station on Tuesday (January 12th) night, police arrested Limon Ali, son of Bablu Hossain of Kartkandi village, the main accused in the case.
According to the case sources, Samaj Ashraf called a 7th class student of Zindani High School and raped her by calling her to Afzal Hossain’s garden at around 10 pm on January 4. Later, the girl’s family members met more than once to resolve the issue, but as no solution was found, a rape case was filed at Chatmohar police station.
The investigating officer of the case, SI David Himadri Burma, said that as soon as the case was registered at night, they raided the Vaidya Marich area of Khanmarich, a remote area of Bhangura, to arrest the accused. Limon was arrested around 1pm and taken to the police station. He will be sent to court on Wednesday.
