The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, stated on the occasion of Kosovo’s position on the issue of the “Open Balkans” and the refusal to participate in that initiative that such an approach by Pristina leads nowhere.
In an interview with “News24”, Rama pointed out that the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has a different approach regarding the “Open Balkans”, an initiative which, as he stated, would contribute to solving the problems between Belgrade and Pristina.
– I think that the Kosovo approach, more precisely the policy makers and decision makers in Kosovo, is deeply different. That is their right, but on the other hand, I am convinced that this initiative is a necessity, but also an approach in the function of releasing many closed potentials of this region and facilitating dialogue and the final solution of the Kosovo issue – said Rama.
He added that he does not want to enter into a controversy with Kurti, but that his approach does not lead Kosovo anywhere, reports Kosovo online.
– Albin has his vision. I want the best for Kosovo and that is why I cannot but say that the current approach is destined to fail and Kosovo is not leading anywhere. For several years now, Kosovo has been a positive, reliable and desirable partner of the Albanian allies. This approach is not a positive thing – said Rama.
