QNAP introduced the TS-364 3-position NAS with RAID 5

QNAP has expanded its offering to include NAS TS-364, which according to its name offers 3 positions for a maximum of 3.5 “hard drives or 2.5” HDD and SSD. The manufacturer promises sufficient transfer speeds thanks to 2.5GbE support, other ports include USB 3.2 Gen 1, two USB-A 3.2 Gen2 (10 Gbps) and HDMI 1.4b. It can thus function not only as storage, but also for multimedia entertainment and content playback. Capacity can be increased with TL and TR units.

RAID 5 for 3 disks is also supported, which improves performance and failover. To increase performance, it is possible to use the SSD cache thanks to two M.2 ports (PCIe Gen3). Here you will find a 4-core Intel Celeron N5095 / N5105 processor with support for 4 fibers and a frequency of up to 2.9 GHz. So it is a 64-bit x86 processor. The graphics are Intel UHD Graphics and for the TS-364-4G we have one 4GB DDR4 SO-DIMM module (maximum is 2 × 8 GB).


The NAS has dimensions of 142 × 150 × 260 mm and its consumption with three disks should reach 32.8 W. Cooling is provided by a 92 mm fan, noise reaches 20.5 dB (A). Here you will find the latest version of the QTS 5.0 operating system and there are traditional applications such as File Station, Hybrid Backup Sync, virtualization using Virtualization Station and Container Station, QVR Elite monitoring system or KoiMeeter for video conferencing.
