Disinfection of public transport salons in the context of a pandemic and taking into account the current epidemiological situation occurs regularly, said Sergei Blagoveshchensky, a member of the board of the Daugavpils satiksme enterprise.
Public transport salons are processed at night after the completion of bus and tram runs.
In order to somehow protect its employees, the Daugavpils satiksme company issues them protective masks and gloves.
– The work is organized in such a way as to minimize various options for people crossing into enterprises, we carefully monitor the observance of the distance and measures of epidemiological safety, – Sergey Blagoveshchensky explained.
As of January 8, 61 employees of the Daugavpils satiksme enterprise are sick, of which 11 people have confirmed coronavirus disease.
According to the board member, all employees of the company have paid health insurance, which is more serious this year.
