As stated in the public invitation of the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, the southern bypass of Valjevo is the connection of the economic zone of Valjevo with the planned corridor of the state road IB row number 27, Loznica-Valjevo-Lazarevac, section Iverak-loop Lajkovac, ie the connection of Valjevo with car – via Belgrade-South Adriatic.

A connection with the economic zone at km2 + 000 in the form of a roundabout is also planned.

The total length of the road will be about 5 km, and it is planned for a speed of 100 km / h, with a transverse profile of two physically separate carriageways, with two traffic lanes for each carriageway.

It is stated that the goal is to build the southern bypass of Valjevo improving service levels primarily for freight flows, increasing traffic safety, reducing travel time, reducing vehicle operating costs and reducing the negative environmental impacts of traffic on the environment.

– The new road together with the road intended for motor traffic on the section Iverak-Lajkovac, within the primary road network of Serbia, should take over transit flows from the existing road network with a partial change of conditions on the roads related to it – the invitation says.

The bypass around Svilajnac will have a length of about 12.5 km and is planned for a speed of 80 km / h, with transverse profile and lane width 2×3.5 m.
