Only one new meeting between the two parties was scheduled for July 28, a day for which a new protest has already been scheduled, similar to yesterday’s and which brought together around 300 police and guards at the Ministry of Internal Administration, in Lisbon.

“They try to deceive the police, misinterpreting the security forces supplement,” said Mário Andrade, president of the Union of Police Professionals and spokesperson for the platform. According to the union leader, the Government did not come forward with any alternative proposal to what it had already made. “The values ​​between 80 and 100 euros advanced were maintained, being the highest value attributed to the rangers”, he added.
