The union and employees of the Fiat Chrysler Plastic factory, which is one of the key subcontractors of the Kragujevac Fiat Chrysler car, started protests today, with a one-hour work stoppage, due to, as they claim, endangered workers’ rights and announced reduction of affiliation.

The Fiat Chrysler Plastic Trade Union tells our list that the employees of that company went on strike today from 11 a.m. to noon, while the employees in the second shift will stop working tomorrow, from 7 to 8 p.m.
According to the trade unionists, the work stoppages in Plastika will be organized in that way until the union-workers’ demands are met, with the proviso that, if the agreement with the management of that factory and Fiat Chrysler is not reached, “a certain radicalization of protests” is planned.
– We are asking for an undiminished recourse for this year, in the amount of the average salary at the national level, and for us to be paid 65 percent of the regular salary on non-working days, as much as during the production downtime, Fiat Chrysler workers receive. We insist on retaining the right to strike, which is taken away from us by the Rules of Procedure, which were imposed on us because we refused to sign the Collective Agreement with illegal and unconstitutional provisions, and demand full employment of Fiat Chrysler and our factory, the Fiat Union told us today Chrysler plastic.
The protests of Fiat Chrysler Plastics employees started today were supported by the factory branch of the Independence Trade Union in Fiat Chrysler Cars, which expressed hope that other unions in FCA and its supplier companies would join the demands of Plastik workers, and that “competent state institutions to do their part of the job “, since, in this case,” it is a violation of the laws of the state of Serbia by a foreign employer. “
– We especially want to point out the motives for the strike of Fiat Chrysler Plastics employees, which do not refer to the usual demands for a salary increase and easing of working conditions. This time, Plastik is on strike to defend the rights of workers guaranteed by the Labor Law and the Constitution and to prevent the reduction of the already low salary, which would be a little more than the minimum wage for full-time work, with workers in Fiat and Chrysler and his subcontractors no longer remember what full-time it was, but work “by the spoonful” and pay their obligations – rents, loan installments and others – in full, according to a statement from Nezavisnost.
Nezavisnost draws attention to the fact that the announcement of the strike of employees in Fiat Chrysler Plastics, among other things, states that the company Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Serbia is the owner of FC Plastic, which, as they claim, is not true.
The story tells that FCA Serbia and Fiat Chrysler Plastic are one company “served”, according to the statement in Nezavisnost, to the employees of Fiat Chrysler Cars Serbia.
Insight into the records of APR easily, however, claims in Nezavisnost, it can be seen that the owner of Fiat Chrysler Plastics is the company Fiat Chrysler Automobile Italy, which is also the majority owner of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Serbia, with 66.67 percent share in the capital of FCA Serbia. with the state 33.33 percent.
So, Fiat Chrysler Plastic and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Serbia are, according to Nezavisnost, two sister companies, two different legal entities with different ID numbers, PIBs and accounts: “if it were different, why would we pay for the components that are delivered to us? ? ”
The Independence Union of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles joined the demand of the employees of Fiat Chrysler Plastics, related to the right to strike, which was again denied to the employees of the FCA by a new collective agreement, as in the previous one, for three years.
The request for full employment of Fiat Chrysler cars and its subcontractors is also fully supported. Especially since the capacities of the Kragujevac car factory will be employed only with some ten percent this year as well.
