Here are Putin’s staggering military plans

Putin imagined that he could conquer and annex up to five-sixths of Ukraine in a lightning war.

He envisioned taking Kyiv in three to four days, and elite soldiers would find and capture President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and “kill him if necessary.”

These are just some of the things a new investigative article from The Washington Post on Putin’s military strategy shows.

Based on this article and other sources, Berlingske tries to uncover President Putin’s plans, among other things for the division of a future Ukraine – and his plans were staggering.

The US intelligence services had infiltrated the Russian political leadership, military and intelligence services, all the way from the top to the front lines.

It has given them full insight into Putin’s analysis of the Western countries. But there was one factor he overlooked. Namely Ukraine itself.

The Danish Epstein. Shocking documentary should make Spies consider name

Eat, travel and be happy – if you are not a young Danish girl.

A new DR documentary documents how the travel king Simon Spies lured – groomed – vulnerable “pure young” girls and their families for years, after which he exploited the girls sexually.

In those days, the girls were referred to as “morning bun ladies”, but they had nothing to do with “ladies”. Most often the girls were under 18 – in some cases under 15.

The documentary shows how, for years until his death in 1984, Simon Spies bought perhaps hundreds of young girls and used them as a kind of sex slave.

It evokes memories of the late American financier Jeffrey Epstein, who committed suicide in a cell in New York after he was imprisoned for exploiting and sexually abusing very young women.

What is the real price of swiping the payment card abroad?

If you think that it hurts your personal finances a little more after the pleasures of the holiday than you expected, then there may be a good reason for that. Especially if you have used your payment cards abroad.

The cards are hit with fees every time you swipe them. And it is impossible to see the size of the fee immediately – and extremely difficult to calculate it afterwards.

This is confirmed by banking expert Mikael Mogensen from the banking portal Mybanker, who for Berlingske has analyzed a number of concrete card payments abroad over the summer.

The banks’ addition to the exchange rate alone fluctuates between 0 and 2.9 percent outside Europe. Of course, at a rate that is already worse for you than Danmarks Nationalbank’s.

“It’s incredibly difficult to see through – the price lists certainly show the prices, but you have to know what you’re looking for,” says banking expert Mikael Mogensen about the fees. Fold together

Malmö’s police chief: “We are in a spiral of violence with more murders”

A – by all accounts – random passer-by woman was seriously injured on Friday afternoon, while a man was killed during a shooting in a shopping center in Malmö.

A mere 15-year-old boy arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder.

Sweden’s police have assessed that there was a showdown in Malmö’s gang milieu. Something that is unfortunately far from new for the city.

“The level of conflict has become higher in Malmö. We are in a spiral of violence with more murders. It has come close, and I understand that people feel unsafe,” said Malmö’s police chief, Petra Stenkula, at a press conference on Saturday, according to Politiken.

Internal criticism hits Vermund’s party ahead of the election. Members leave the party

While crises have raged in the governing party, in the Liberal Party and in the Danish People’s Party, Nye Borgerlige has more or less flown under the radar.

But ahead of a – probably – imminent general election, great frustration has arisen in Pernille Vermund’s party. Several prominent members have left the party, and others are considering doing the same.

This is written by Jyllands-Posten, which has spoken to more than 20 centrally located people in the party’s hinterland.

At the beginning of the year, the top party appointed leading candidates for the country’s major constituencies. But members in several local constituencies have strongly disagreed with the appointments – and thus took the consequence and said goodbye to the party.

Among other things, the waves have been particularly high in Copenhagen’s Greater Circle.

Here, the designated lead candidate, Vibeke Molise, even ended up completely withdrawing as a candidate for the general election after meeting opposition to her candidacy.

Letters from local branches on Funen and Zealand have been sent to Nye Borgerlige’s main board with the message that they did not intend to support the top party’s designated top candidates for the general election, writes Jyllands-Posten. Fold together

It happens today

Recently, there have been a number of group meetings between the parties at Christiansborg. And today it applies to Nye Borgerlige, which is holding its summer group meeting in Snekkersten.

At the same time, another major sporting event is taking place in the streets of Copenhagen, when the “IRONMAN Copenhagen” triathlon starts as early as 07:00 in the morning.

The swimming takes place in Amager Strandpark, the cycling route is from Copenhagen around Hillerød, and the running route takes place in inner Copenhagen. Get an overview of how it affects traffic.
