Three years ago, Slightly Mad Studios and Gamevil announced that they are working together on a mobile spin-off of the popular racing game Project CARS, known from consoles and PCs. Now it has been announced that the premiere of this title will take place next month.
Unfortunately, Project CARS GO will be quite different from its predecessor. While the original Project CARS focused on a realistic driving model (with optional facilitations allowing to adjust it to the user’s skills and preferences), the version intended for mobile devices is to be an arcade game simplified to the limit, in which the car will turn itself, and the player’s role will be reduced to pressing the gas and brake at the appropriate moments. It will not be the first popular racing game brand to introduce such far-reaching simplifications in the iOS version. Earlier, the creators of Forza Street also decided on a similar idea.
The premiere of Project CARS GO is scheduled for March 23. It will be a freemium title, available for free download but with optional micropayments.
