SARAJEVO – Banks in the Federation achieved a net profit of 134.8 million KM in the first quarter of 2023, according to preliminary data from the FBiH Banking Agency.

The total income of the banks was 331.3 million KM, of which interest income was 204.5 million KM and made up 61.7 percent of the total income.
In the same period, the value of placed loans fell slightly compared to the end of 2022, while interest income increased compared to the same period last year.
Banks based in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina have a total of 396 business units and 114 other organizational units. They have 27,305 POS devices and 1,263 ATMs.
Three banks from Republika Srpska – Banka Poštanska štedionica, Nova Banka and MF Banka – which have 17 business units, 11 organizational divisions, and a network of 433 POS devices and 36 ATMs operate in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
