”Portuguese police are searching for remains on land”- On everyone’s lips

This past Wednesday, the Portuguese Police began a new search in connection with the disappearance of Madeleine McCann. This time in a reservoir 50 kilometers from the Algarve tourist complex where the three-year-old girl disappeared during the night of May 3, 2007.

Nacho AbadMore He explains that it is the biggest operation in 10 years and that the investigators want to keep secret the clues that have led them to search at that point.

‘On everyone’s lips’ has moved to the place where the search is being carried out and Clara Murillo, a reporter for the program, has new details about the operation: ”Yesterday, the investigators took a series of samples from the place they are inspecting and would have taken them in a series of bags. Today we know that the contents of those bags were remains of earth and that is that the investigators would be looking for the pink pajamas that Madeleine was wearing the night of her disappearance and if it is not the pajamas, then remains or fibers of those pajamas.

The program has spoken with Francis Markand private detective who has been investigating Madeleine’s case from the beginning. Nacho AbadMore has made it known that Francisco has been in contact with the Portuguese police for the last few hours and he has confirmed it.

“I spoke yesterday with the Portuguese police to find out if they were really searching with divers, as we already said in 2008 that we had to search with divers in that area or if they were looking for remains on land and they told me that the part they were looking for was debris on the ground,” says the detective.

Nacho AbadMore He wanted to know what he thinks has led the police to search again at that point: “You have to think, in 2008 we received consistent information about a van that is moving from Extremadura to Portugal and that it is located in the area where Madie disappeared the night Madie disappeared,” says Francisco.

The private detective goes on to explain: ”They put that same van in that reservoir, in this reservoir various operations are carried out to see if it could have some kind of credibility (…) I imagine that the German police, I can tell you that the Portuguese police, not the German police directed by the German prosecutor’s office must have some kind of clue, whether it be a tip-off from someone who is in prison with this man or any other clue or that this man has already said once and for all that it happened.”
