Porsche unveils the most pistarde of the 911 Type 992, the new GT3, still powered by an atmospheric flat-six.
Be careful, hot ahead! Porsche adds a new and seventh version within the 911 range. adored version of purists : la GT3.
Developed in close collaboration with Porsche Motorsport, the brand’s Competition department, this fourth version of the GT3 in the history of the 911 takes again the ingredients which made the success of the model, and in particular a atmospheric flat-six pushed to its maximum.
The 911 GT3 pushed to 510 hp
Here, this 4.0-liter heart, already installed under the hood of the 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman GTS 4.0, develops 510 hp and 470 Nm of torque. That’s 35 hp and 30 Nm more than the old GT3 (Type 991). It is combined with a 7-speed PDK dual-clutch gearbox or optionally with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
A double wishbone axle at the front, optimized aerodynamics, notably via an enormous “gooseneck” spoiler and an imposing rear diffuser, all from the racing 911 RSR, complete the range.
To top it off, the model gains wider tracks and benefits from reduced weight thanks in particular to plastic-reinforced carbon fiber elements (1,418 kg in manual transmission and 1,435 kg in PDK gearbox).
Thus armed, it can devour the 0 to 100 km / h in just 3.4 seconds while announcing a top speed of 318 km / h with the PDK gearbox, or even 320 km / h in the manual gearbox.
