In nine constituencies for the National Assembly, there are 31 political parties and coalitions who are candidates for people’s tribunes. How seriously the parties took the struggle for deputies can be seen from the list holders, where the majority of the parties put the leaders of the parties as the holders. So the number one of most lists for the NSRS are the presidents of the parties from the RS, namely: Nenad Stevandić (US), Darko Banjac (NPS), Goran Selak (SPS), Petar Đokić (SP), Nedeljko Čubrilović (DEMOS).

The flood of candidates for the National Assembly of the RS has two sides, say “Novosti” interlocutors.

One refers to the fact that many parties are not satisfied with the way the last convocation was conducted and are looking for new solutions, while there is also a part related to trading seats in electoral committees. Because of this, many small parties appear in the elections, especially for the NS RS, which win seats in the electoral committees and then sell them to larger parties.

Velizar Antić, a political analyst, says that the information about a large number of candidates and parties for the NSRS is neither news nor a surprise, because a large number of small parties are in the service of large political parties that use small parties and their observers in election committees.

– Everyone knows this and gets over it. Therefore, everyone knows that it is about electoral corruption and illegal activities, but nothing is being done to prevent these abuses.

The solution is to pass a new electoral law as soon as possible, which would regulate this area in a much better way than is the case in the existing legislation – explained Antic.

– If we want the National Assembly of the RS to be an institution in the true sense of the word, then the problem of “flyers” must also be solved. It is about the fact that in the current convocation of the NSRS, out of 83 deputies, as many as 26 of them changed parties. This phenomenon also demotivates the citizens who go to the polls and is a form of election fraud of the voters’ will. This could be prevented by the introduction of the Austrian system, where it is stipulated that in the first eight months after the election, the party is entitled to a mandate.

Nenad Stevandić, president of the United Srpska, says that many are disappointed with the behavior of deputies in the last convocation and now many feel better and more invited to be members of the RS National Assembly.

– The other side is para-election and I wouldn’t talk about it now. As for the leaders who carry the lists, that is the only thing that the presidents have to fix, because that way they send a message that they do not run away from responsibility, and elections are the right place for leaders to check their popularity among the people – Stevandić points out.

The TWO strongest parties in the RS – SNSD and SDS put vice-presidents and deputy presidents of the parties as the ticket holders in the NSRS, because the leaders of these two parties, Milorda Dodik (SNSD) and Mirko Šarović (SDS), are candidates for the positions of the president of the RS and the Serbian member of the BiH Presidency. .
