Finally, a real winter has come to us: with snow and frost. Neither a virus nor restrictions can prevent it, because winter is always joy, movement and inspiration! The Polish House invites Daugavpil residents not only to show their culinary abilities and surprise others with unusual dishes by taking part in the “Winter on a Plate” competition.

To participate in the competition, you must first prepare a dish, in the appearance of which the winter theme must certainly be present. These can be figures of Christmas trees, snowmen, Santa Clauses, deer, Christmas boots, etc. Everything is limited only by your imagination and desire to create.

After that, the edible masterpieces created by you must be photographed with any gadget at your fingertips and sent to the email address of the Polish House: [email protected] together with a completed questionnaire that can be found HERE, where you should indicate your first and last name, age, occupation, contact details and the name of your winter dish.

The size of the photo does not matter much, nor does the age of the participants in the competition: everyone over 4 years old can take part in it. However, the organizers do ask for good quality photos.

A specially created competition jury will select the best, in their opinion, competitive works and determine the winners no later than January 20 of this year.

According to the head of the Polish House Zhanna Stankevich, in the difficult conditions of a pandemic and restrictions, in no case do you want to leave children and adults without fun contests:

– So you have to get out: find new forms of work, change the usual format, be creative. I am very glad that all our ideas always find a response and supporters.

For example, due to the impossibility to host the traditional and beloved Mikolajki, we organized a remote event “Telephone to St. Nicholas”. The activity of the participants simply stunned us: in an hour we received about 70 calls from children of all ages, – said Mrs. Zhanna.

Take part in this delicious competition, cook “Winter on a Plate”, share your culinary masterpieces with the Polish House and receive nice prizes, and the organizers have taken care of that.
