Poco presents two new devices on September 5

An event where the Poco M5 and M5s will be presented is scheduled for next week. On September 5, we will hear everything about the two new affordable devices.

Read on after the ad.

Poco M5(s) event will take place on September 5th

It will be busy next week, because manufacturer Poco has also announced a worldwide event. Several tweets talk about the Poco M5 and Poco M5s, logical successors of the Poco M4 series. It concerns smartphones for the middle segment with a corresponding price tag, but we know little about the specifications.

It would be opted for chipsets from MediaTek and not for Qualcomm. The Poco M4 Pro contains a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chip and in our review we wrote that it is powerful enough for everyday tasks, multitasking or playing different games.

In terms of design, we expect colorful devices with a large camera island on the back. It appears that two cameras have been placed in it, but details about this are still unknown. The front camera is incorporated in a somewhat old-fashioned drip notch. Remarkably, because the Poco M4 Pro has a modern hole in the screen.

Busy week full of announcements

In addition to Poco, we will see many more announcements in the coming weeks. So we know that Oppo will come up with the new Reno 8 series on August 31.

Then the IFA starts, a large technology fair in Berlin, which is also used for various presentations. On September 1, it’s time for Sony, which will probably present the Xperia 5 IV. On the same day there is also an event of HMD Global, so we expect to see new devices from Nokia as well.

Then there’s Apple with their event on September 7, where the new iPhone 14 devices are being presented. Motorola closes the row of presentations, because that company will hold another event on September 8.

All in all, it will be a busy period of announcements. If you don’t want to miss anything, keep an eye on Android Planet, sign up for our free newsletter or download the Android Planet-app. Of course we can also be found on social media, including Twitter, Instagram in Facebook!
