With the Poco brand, Xiaomi is primarily addressing price-conscious, young smartphone users who still do not want to save on performance. The newly introduced Poco M4 Pro meets these criteria and comes from 230 euros with features that are impressive for the price.

Poco M4 Pro: Large 90 Hz display

Xiaomi installs a large 6.6-inch LCD in the Poco M4 Pro, which traditionally comes with a FullHD resolution. A refresh rate of 90 Hz is on board for smooth scrolling and streak-free gaming. Depending on the content, this can switch between 50, 60 and 90 Hz in order to save some battery life.

At 164 x 76 x 9 millimeters, the Poco M4 Pro is not exactly small, its weight is 195 grams. The rounded back is available in the colors Poco Yellow, Power Black and Cool Blue. A jack socket and a USB-C connection are located in the color-coordinated frame. An infrared blaster is also installed to control the TV. The stereo speakers are rare in this segment.

Poco M4 Pro: Big battery, fast charging and photos with 50 MP

The remaining connectivity of the Poco M4 Pro is also impressive for the price. 5G as well as Bluetooth 5.1, NFC and 5 GHz WiFi are part of the game. A Mediatek Dimensity 810, with either 4 or 6 GB of RAM, ensures performance. A pretty good combination for the segment. There is a choice of 64 or 128 GB of memory. If desired, you can expand via microSD. Dual SIM (both slots are 5G-capable) is also installed.

The Poco M4 Pro is equipped with a 5,000 mAh for long runtimes, which can be refilled with a quick 33 watts. According to Xiaomi, a charge takes 59 minutes.

On the back of the Poco M4 Pro there is a dual camera system, the main camera of which has a resolution of 50 megapixels. The optics are flanked by an ultra-wide angle with 8 MP resolution. You snap selfies with 16 MP.

Prices, availability and market launch

Anyone who pre-orders the Poco M4 Pro in the Early Bird pays 199 euros (regular 230 euros) for the version with 4/64 GB and 219 euros (regular 250 euros) for the version with 6/128 GB.

The Poco M4 Pro will be available in stores from November 11th and can be pre-ordered now.
