POCO announced the F5 and F5 Pro smartphones

Xiaomi’s sister brand POCO has announced the new POCO F5 and F5 Pro smartphones today. The company aims news especially at young users interested in technology. Both models are so-called group loan from Xiaomi’s selections, as the basic F5 model is also known abroad as Redmi Note 12 Turbo and the F5 Pro as Redmi K60.

POCO F5 Pro relies on last year’s flagship iron, as it has a Snapdragon 8+ gen 1 chipset inside, which is cooled by a 5000 mm2 vapor chamber solution. The resolution of the AMOLED screen is 3200 x 1440 pixels and it supports a dynamic refresh rate of 120 hertz and a maximum brightness of 1400 nits. The large 5160 mAh battery comes with 67 watt fast charging and 30 watt wireless fast charging.

On the camera side, there’s pretty basic coverage, branded as the Hyperpower camera: a 64-megapixel main camera with optical stabilization, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle with fixed focus, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. The main camera is said to support 8K video recording with electronic stabilization, which is not a given even in the most expensive high-end phones.

More affordable LITTLE F5 is the first phone on the Finnish market equipped with a Snapdragon 7 gen 2 chip manufactured using a fresh four-nanometer process. The circuit is cooled with a steam chamber solution with a surface area of ​​3725 mm2. The AMOLED screen is the same size as the Pro, but with a lower Full HD+ resolution. The storage space is always 256 gigabytes. Camera coverage is identical to the Pro model, although 8K video recording support is waning. The 5000mAh battery supports 67W fast charging.
