Kuala Lumpur: The government has given a period to the people who are in their hometowns, to return to their homes as soon as possible this Friday.
Senior Minister (Security) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the relaxation was given after discussions with the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM).
He said, flexibility is also given to those who have already bought flight tickets and express buses, however, the journey after the Movement Control Order (PKP) takes effect tomorrow.
“Relaxation will only be given to those who have a specific reason (because) there is something I understand, visit a sick family in the hospital and will return two days later, which is Thursday for example.
“So I have discussed with the PDRM, certain cases like this are allowed (cross-state).
“So do not worry if they are trapped in the village as before, the time of the PKP until we have to make a special program to allow those trapped back, only, those who are in the village and have not returned I hope to return immediately at the latest this Friday,” he said.
He said this at a press conference of the National Security Council (MKN) on PKP here today.
Ismail Sabri hoped that no citizen was trapped in the village for two weeks during the PKP 2.0 period, after the relaxation was granted.
