PJ carries out searches for suspected corruption at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers
The headquarters of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers is being searched, this Thursday, by the Judiciary Police.
The main focus of the operation is the secretary-general, David Xavier, who is under suspicion of corruption crimes and others associated with the violation of public procurement rules to private companies, of goods and services for the Government, advanced CNN Portugal.
David Xavier, according to this media, would have received bribes in the purchase of computer systems for the State from a certain company in the north of the country.
In addition to searches of workplaces, the National Anti-Corruption Unit is also carrying out house searches of the homes of suspects of passive corruption and active corruption.
