The Evnia 25M2N5200P display can be overclocked to 280 Hz.
Philips is expanding its portfolio for gamers with a new monitor called the Evnia 25M2N5200P. The 24.5-inch display has a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels, i.e. the aspect ratio of the monitor is 16:9. Viewing angles of 178 degrees can be expected from the IPS panel used, which covers 110% of the sRGB color space and is calibrated to a Delta E value lower than 2, while its maximum brightness is 400 nits. This is complemented by a static contrast ratio of 1000:1, meanwhile the MPRT response time will be 0.5 milliseconds.
The main weapon of the development supporting HDR10 is the image refresh rate, which can be up to 280 Hz, but of course this is an overdriven value, the maximum is 240 Hz anyway. Gamers benefit from the fact that a variable refresh rate is also possible, with AMD’s FreeSync Premium technology.
The monitor equipped with a 2×5 watt sound system has two HDMI 2.0, one DisplayPort 1.4, one 3.5 mm jack, and one upstream and four downstream USB 3.2 Gen1 ports, and thanks to the Compact Ergo Stand, the display itself can be adjusted -5 and 20 degrees can be tilted between -30 and 30 degrees, and its height can be adjusted within a limit of 130 mm.
The Evnia 25M2N5200P will start shipping soon, but the price is not yet known.
