Peugeot Has Presented 70 Percent Electrification Models

DAPURPACU – Peugeot’s path to transforming into the future is getting sharper. Under the Stellantis group, the Peugeot brand is increasingly aggressive in penetrating the market.

Not only selling cars alone, the innovations carried out are very fast and unmitigated. Lastly, they have just launched a new generation of Peugeot 308.

In addition to presenting conventional variants, the latest 308 also offers an electrification model (PHEV), while realizing 70 percent of the environmentally friendly products offered by Peugeot.

The acquisition of 70 percent is a combination of the passenger and commercial lineup offered by Peugeot.

Later in 2023, 85 percent of the entire Peugeot lineup will be electrified and will reach 100 percent in 2025 for the European region.

Peugeot’s era of electrification began three years ago, with the launch of the e-208. Since then, Peugeot has quickly adapted this future technology to the various lineups on offer.

However, they still offer petrol engine options in their lineup which refers to Peugeot’s brand strategy of ‘Power of Choice’.

“Electrification is part of the Power of Choice strategy which gives our customers the choice of the type of engine they want and best suits their needs,” said Linda Jackson, Peugeot Chief Executive Officer.

In addition to the full electric model through the e-208 and e-2008, Peugeot also presents hybrid variants including the 3008 PHEV, 508 PHEV, 508 SW PHEV, to the latest 308 PHEV and 308 SW PHEV.

As for the fully electric commercial models, namely the e-Partner, e-Expert, e-Boxer, and the one currently being worked on is the Peugeot h-Expert which will use hydrogen technology.

Jérôme Micheron, Product Director of Peugeot said, electrification in the LEV (Low Emission Vehicles) line of this French car manufacturer represents 1 in 4 passenger car sales in Europe in the first half of 2022.

Micheron added, Peugeot also provides various models of electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid engines. Including the fully electric engine LCV model.

“For Peugeot, the offer of electric models and conventional engines in various variants provides choices that make it easier for everyone, both personal and professional,” he said.

“This is to have flexible mobility and can support all activities carried out. The Peugeot brand is optimistic that it will bring the earth back to being greener,” he concluded. [dp/MTH]
