Prague – The new director of the Administration of the Czech Switzerland National Park will be Petr Kříž from the Administration of the PLA České středohoří. Minister of the Environment Marian Jurečka (KDU-ČSL) will appoint him on Wednesday, the Ministry of the Environment announced to ČTK today. Kříž will replace Pavel Benda, who was dismissed at the end of September by the then Minister of the Environment Anna Hubáčková (KDU-ČSL). According to her, Benda communicated insufficiently with the municipalities and failed to handle crisis management.
The ministry said that Jurečka will appoint the new director of the Administration of NP České Švýcarsko, Petar Kříž, on Wednesday at the MŽP at 12:30 p.m. At the same time, a short press conference will be held, during which Kříž will present his vision for the further direction of the national park.
Currently, Kříž, who was born in 1975 in Děčín, heads the regional office of the Agency for the Protection of Nature and Landscape of the Czech Republic – Administration of the PLA České středohoří. In previous years, he also worked at the Labská pískovce PLA Administration.
