The court board sentenced the accused Alişan Gül to 6 years and 3 months in prison for “being a member of an armed terrorist organization” and “making propaganda for a terrorist organization”, and the defendant Göktaş was sentenced to 2 charges of “propagandizing for a terrorist organization” and “resisting not to do his duty”. decided to postpone the announcement of the provisions pertaining to one year and six months imprisonment.

Deciding to separate the file of the accused Fatih Özgür Aydın on the grounds that he is being tried at the Istanbul 14th High Criminal Court for the crime charged in this court, the delegation ruled that the case against them be dropped because it was determined that the defendants Leyla Tool, Şafak Yayla, Mahir Bektaş, and Elif Sultan Kalsen were dead. .

In the operation against the terrorist organization DHKP/C in Istanbul on 20 June 2019, 7 suspects, including Kamile Kayır, who was in the “grey” category in the Ministry of Interior’s Terrorist Wanted List and who was the so-called “Turkey committee officer” of the organization, had been caught.

In the prepared opinion, it was noted that the person heard as a secret witness knew Kamile Kayır in his statements and knew him as the DHKP-C Istanbul officer.

According to the statements of the secret witness, it was stated in the opinion that the local area officials operating in Istanbul came together in the Walking magazine and received instructions from the accused Kayır, and that the organization leaders in some provinces in Anatolia also met with the accused Kayır and attended the meetings of the organization in Turkey as responsible.

In the opinion, it was pointed out that the person referred to as “secret witness Çelik” stated that Kamile Kayır was operating as the senior officer of the DHKP-C armed terrorist organization, and the organization’s so-called senior executives Şafak Yayla, Hünkar Derya Güneş and other names were one-on-one in the secret rooms in the institutions. interviews were recorded.

In the physical and technical follow-ups, it was stated in the opinion that Kayır had entered and exited the building where the organization’s youth federation was located in 2011, and that in 2012 it was determined that he had entered the building where the Walking Journal was operating.

In the opinion, it was emphasized that the defendant Kayır was chanting slogans frequently used by the organization when he was caught, and trying to destroy the digital materials that were with him, and it was stated that he worked as a senior manager in the organization because he went on a hunger strike during his detention and did not accept treatment when he was ill.

In the opinion, it was demanded that the defendants Kamile Kayır, Alişan Gül, Yeliz Kütük, Dursun Göktaş and Doğan Karataştan be punished for “being the director of an armed terrorist organization”, “membership of a terrorist organization”, “propagandizing for a terrorist organization” and “resisting not to do their duty”. .

The defendant Şafak Yayla, who martyred Public Prosecutor Mehmet Selim Kiraz in his office, Elif Sultan Kalsen, who attacked the Istanbul Police Department with an armed and bomb attack and was caught dead in an armed conflict with the security forces, and the defendants Leyla Tool and Mahir Bektaş were reported to have died during the trial.
