Serbian coach Veljko Paunović could continue his career in Spain, on the bench of Zaragoza.
According to local media, the Serb is the main candidate for the bench of the team that has been dreaming of returning to LaLiga for a full decade. Zaragoza is currently 14th on the table of the second rank of the competition in Spain.
Paunović has been out of work since February, when he was fired in the English second league, Reading.
As a football player, he left the biggest mark in Spain, where he spent 12 seasons.
He became famous in the Atletico Madrid jersey, and later played for Mallorca on two occasions, Oviedo, Tenerife, Getafe and Almeria.
Interestingly, Radomir Antić, Paunović’s great friend and mentor, was in Zaragoza in two cases, from 1978 to 1980 as a player, and a decade later as a coach.
