Passenger fights with flight attendant in mid-air

Desk Report:: A passenger fight with flight attendants took place in mid-air on a flight of India’s private airline Air India. According to the country’s media reports, this incident happened due to a quarrel on the Air India flight from Goa to New Delhi on Monday.

According to the media of the country, Air India flight AI-882 was going from Goa to Delhi. A male passenger has been accused of assaulting the flight attendant on that flight. The accused passenger was handed over to the security personnel after the Air India flight landed at the Delhi airport.

An Air India spokesperson said the passenger first abused the flight attendant. Then he raised his hand on one of them. Even after landing at Delhi airport, the passenger continued to behave aggressively. Later he was handed over to airport security guards.

Air India authorities have not given any further information on this matter. The spokesperson said the safety of the airline’s crew and passengers is of utmost importance to them. Air India authorities have condemned the sudden and aggressive behavior of the passenger.

Earlier, on April 10, a female employee of an Air India flight from Delhi to London was also molested. The accused passenger was later banned from Air India flights for 2 years.

The Civil Aviation Authority of India Act provides for banning a passenger from traveling on an airline if he behaves abnormally on board. The accused passenger cannot travel on that airline’s flight for a certain period.
