We all want the batteries in our devices to have more capacity. Make them load faster. And also that they guarantee us a longer useful life. This is one of the most important challenges that the technology industry faces because it has ramifications in a wide range of sectors, such as computers or electric cars. But overcoming what lithium-ion batteries already offer us doesn’t seem easy.
There are currently many research groups working to find an alternative to the batteries we have today that meets all the requirements that I have listed in the previous paragraph. Some of those projects they paint well on paperBut, unfortunately, it does not seem that they are going to offer us the result that we are looking for in the medium term. Not even, perhaps, in the long term. But there are other investigations less exotic than they could bring us pleasant surprises within a reasonable period of time. This is one of them.
