Figures from the Stockholm Region, which SVT has obtained, show that over 200 children in the region have been diagnosed with long-term covid.

Symptoms include chronic fatigue and difficulty concentrating.

The average age of those affected is 11-13 years.

In total, there are 214 children in the capital.

The increase can also be seen at the specialist clinic at Astrid Lindgren’s hospital in the county. There they had expected to receive about 20 children, but the number has become more than twice as large.

– Some go to school, some are completely bedridden, says Malin Ryd Linder, chief physician at the specialist clinic for long-term sick children in Stockholm, to SVT.
