Dm drogerie markt had a turnover of almost 19 billion dinars in business 2020/21. years, with growth of 21,7 percent and thus successfully completed the 17th year of business in Serbia. The largest drugstore chain in Europe, with continuous growth, also recorded record amounts of donations, confirming the epithet of not only one of the most successful but also the most socially engaged companies in the country.

In the past business year, dm has expanded its sales network by opening nine new drugstores, and now owns 113 stores. One of the most desirable employers in the country now has almost 1.400 employees. The company has invested in opening new drugstores and modernizing six existing ones 647.9 million dinars, while in expansion and modernization d24.7 million dinars invested in the distribution center. Among other things, the business year for us brought successful results at the level of the entire dm concern, since the drugstore chain in 13 European countries achieved a total turnover of 12.26 billion euros.

The dm chain offers numerous groceries, organic food, a wide range of baby care and nutrition, products from the care segment, natural cosmetics and make-up, as well as the home hygiene segment. The complete offer of dm includes over 14,000 products.

The drugstore chain is dm one of the largest providers of private label on the Serbian market, with more than 3.000 product. High quality, but also very affordable brands dm brands Balea, alverde, dmBio, babylove, Denkmit, and among them a new dm brand Ivorell, guarantee the same quality in all countries in which the company operates. In this fiscal year dm has even donated 33, 2 million dinars to the community, of which it is 4.6 million dinars realized by donating goods from the dm range, and the remaining 28.6 million dinars by purchasing the necessary equipment and in the form of financial support.

That is, among other things, the dm of our country provided respirators worth 36,000 euros, by opening and renovating drugstores communities addressed in total 9.9 million dinars, supported safe houses in various cities in Serbia with total 2,2 million dinars, and through the campaign “Let’s save food, let’s save humanity” donated more than two million dinars to the Food Bank of Belgrade.

Even greener in the new business year

Dm is known for a chain that promotes sustainable standards, both through various projects and by offering environmental alternatives among products and supporting suppliers in the development of eco-solutions. In that respect, the drugstore chain went a step further this year by launching a climate-neutral one Pro Climate lines.

The third cycle of the project started this year “Plant a tree”, the largest afforestation campaign in Serbia, initiated by dm together with the media house Adria Media Group and institutional partners. After record results in the previous phases of the project, the initiators of this environmental initiative set a new goal – planting as many as 200,000 trees throughout Serbia, which is twice as many as the previous year. Thanks to this unique project the dm is double winner of the National Award for Corporate Social Responsibility “George Weifert” for 2020.
