Until December 12, independent artists from Timișoara can register their portfolios on the digital multimedia platform timisoara.femmedigitale.rowhich aims to create a core of support for independent artists, to provide a good opportunity to make their work known to the whole community and to function as a platform for the promotion of cultural events.

For registration, the following information is required: a short biography of each artist, along with a personal profile picture, 5 – 10 personal, portfolio or work images (max 4 MB each) and links to the online portfolio, the pages of social media and possibly a video portfolio. The multimedia platform was carried out within Monumental woman. Plant Woman, held in Brașov between September and November 2022 by the Developing Art Association, initiated by Madira in partnership with I Dance You. The initiative aimed to be an initiative of support, expression and social engagement created and implemented exclusively by artists and to open a discussion about the current cultural, social and professional context and the changes it causes in women’s lives.

The project brought to Timișoara 5 intensive trans-disciplinary workshops-laboratory for local professionals, 6 workshops of contemporary dance, live poetry, painting in motion open to the general female audience, with the artists Negru Virginia, Anamaria Guguian, Irina Marinescu, Oana Băluță, Ana Drăgan and Alexandra Gîrbea and a performance about burnout.

And, at the end of the approach, independent artists from Timișoara are invited to join the mapping and promotion initiative on the platform

I Dance You is a community project initiated in Brașov in 2017 by the independent artist Anamaria Guguian. I Dance You promotes dance as a therapeutic practice but also as an art form meant to express, problematize and fascinate. The project proposes dance workshops for adults and children, performances, interventions in public space or community events.

Unfold Motion is the most important local landmark in terms of contemporary dance in Timișoara and the western part of the country. The association is actively involved in the cultural scene of Timisoara, contributing through the projects initiated to the consolidation of the cultural-artistic network of the city and seeking to offer the widest possible cultural experiences to the public in continuous formation.

Concentric Projects Timisoara has the main purpose of supporting Romanian choreographic creation and supporting interdisciplinary artistic collaborations as well as the development of new audiences. Equally, Alexandra Gîrbea, the initiator of Concentric Projects, aims to support the efforts to diversify the local Timisoara cultural offer. Together with AREAL and IndieBox, DANS TM took place in 2022 – a collective platform for dance based on the future opening of a new contemporary dance space in Timișoara.
