Online sessions are now also possible via Microsoft Teams

From December 1, 2021, the Judiciary will also use Microsoft (MS) Teams for online hearings.

The choice for Teams is mainly due to the user-friendliness of the system. This way, more participants in an online session can be viewed at the same time. They also do not have to download anything in advance and they do not need their own Teams account. Many people already know Teams from their work or private situation.

In order to allow as many cases as possible to proceed during the corona crisis, the Judiciary expanded systems for telephone (visual) connection with Skype for Business at the beginning of 2020. Initially, Teams will be used alongside the existing systems. In time, Skype will be completely replaced by Teams for online sessions.

In the invitation for an online hearing, litigants and professional parties can see through which system the hearing takes place.
