The State Theater of Northern Greece continues to “play” online the monumental work of the Odyssey, as performed by the distinguished philologist, university teacher and translator of ancient writers, literary critic and essayist and author Dimitris Maron.
From Wednesday, January 13, 2021, the rhapsody ED will be available on the official website of the Organization www.ntng.gr and on the podcasts of KTHBE at soundcloud.com/ntngreece Under the direction of Efi Drossou, thirty-eight actors of KTHBE, in the middle of quarantine, joined forces and “dressed” with their voices, twenty-four rhapsodies. In the fifth Rhapsody, Homer narrates events of 22 days: 4 for the construction of the raft and 18 for the hero’s journey to the land of the Phaeacians.
“Multiple, multifaceted, multifaceted: these three adjectives summarize the essence of ODYSSEUS and its design is the symbol that visualizes it”, says the Artistic Director of KTHBE Nikos Kolovos, recommending the fifth Rhapsody.
