BarcelonaCatalonia has experienced three shootings in four days, an unusual balance in recent times. The first was on Monday morning, around 5 a.m., in Sant Hipòlit de Voltregà, when a 40-year-old man allegedly shot several fatal shots at a 15-year-old. The second took place in Salou on Wednesday: three hooded men (the Mossos d’Esquadra are still looking for two of them) machine-gunned two occupants of a vehicle, who died. And the third was this Thursday evening in Barcelona, ​​in the Guinardó neighborhood. No one was injured, but four were arrested.

A little before 6 p.m., according to several witnesses, there was a fight in front of a portal on Calle Anna Maria Martínez. It is a house where, the neighbors point out, many people live in sublet rooms. Residents often complain that they have parties and noise, but nothing like this has ever happened. At one point, according to a witness, one person pulled out a razor and the confrontation ended with another person involved firing four to five shots. No one was hit, but the bullets shattered the glass and several parts of a parked vehicle. A neighbor who saw him comments that the gunman did not want to target anyone. Many residents thought they were firecrackers, but their street quickly filling up with police cars has them scratching their heads.

Before the officers arrived, the shooter and another person got into a black car and drove off at full speed. The others involved in the fight had taken refuge in a portal just seeing the gun. The Mossos received the warning almost immediately, and cordoned off the entire area. This allowed them to catch and arrest the two fugitives 500 meters from the scene. The agents have returned to the portal in question and have arrested two more people there for their alleged connection to the incident. It is still too early to know what the police have found in that house, but the Mossos have been there for about five hours and have forcibly knocked down doors. The four arrested are between 28 and 35 years old.

The investigation by the Mossos, however, remains open. Precisely because of what they have found inside the building, which is already sealed off, sources close to the investigation point out that it will not be the last intervention that will be carried out in this portal.
