Official: Kia introduced the K8

In November 2015, Kia introduced in South Korea the second generation of the K7, its large luxury sedan, to be followed five months later by ax, axed, cadenza, K900, KIA, kia cadenza, kia k900, kia us, Kia usa, the Cadenza. Last month, the Korean company announced that due to low sales of the K900 and Cadenza led to their removal from the US market.

However, today Kia shows us the new K8, which replaces the Cadenza, and in all the markets that will be released it will have the same name. The company gave the first official images of the K8, which is the first model after the “rebirth” of the Kia brand, and shows us its new purpose, as well as its ambitions for the future.

The K8 represents a new model name in the Kia range, and is the first model to display the brand’s new identity, as well as the modern new Kia logo. With an emphasis on modern, top quality and dynamic performance, the K8 builds on the success of the K7 (in the Asian market), and continues Kia’s rise to prominence in the class.

The K8 has a modern, elegant and innovative design, and at the front is the large “Tiger Nose” grille, which is frameless and gives the K8 a strong presence. The grille is integrated into the front bumper and gives a clean look, with the intricate diamond mesh designed to express the movement of light.

The model has a length of 5,015 mm, and has a sporty side profile with a dynamic characteristic line the length of the sedan, inspired by boats sailing in calm waters. Also, there are chrome details along the body, and at the bottom of the doors, which end in the rear lights.

Kia did not give more information about the new K8, but says that its release will begin later this year, and then we will learn more about its technical features.
